OUR TEACHERS
Our highly experienced teachers are professionally trained, with backgrounds in competitive dancing and recognised qualifications through the ISTD and NATD. All teachers hold and enhanced DBS check, providing a professional, safe and supportive environment for every dancer.
Joanna Appleby
HEAD DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Jo's dance career started at the age of six when she was enticed onto the dance for the first time. She went on to compete both nationally & internationally for over 20 years, reaching a high standard at Ballroom & Latin Championships.
Joanna qualified as a dance teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and began Gotta Dance Derby in 2007.
mAX Appleby
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Max began dancing Ballroom and Latin 19 years ago, achieving many results including British National North of England Finalist. He has competed internationally at the highest level and continues his pursuit to reach greater achievements.
Beth Gardiner
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Beth first started dancing Ballroom and Latin American over 15 years ago, enjoying a competitive career as a junior before taking a break for her studies. She now competes nationally and internationally as an Amateur Ballroom dancer with her partner Max Appleby, alongside her career as a Transport Planning Consultant in Birmingham.
